Due to some internal reorganisation, we are currently recruiting for two positions – a bookkeeping controller and a customer services executive/office administrator. Both roles are part time with flexible hours.

Bookkeeping controller

Due to some internal re-organisation we are now seeking a friendly, conscientious and organised person to join our team.

This will initially be a part time role, at approximately 30 hours over 4/5 days, but is likely to become full time as volumes grow. If you’re the right person for this role you’ll be described as…

Great with clients, focused on getting jobs completed and having high work standards.

  1. You’ll be responsible for client bookkeeping. We like staying up to date with technology so the majority of our clients are using Xero or Freeagent.
  2. You’ll be responsible for organising and controlling client records and for processing them through Xero add ons such as Receipt Bank.
  3. You’ll be responsible for quality control on the jobs by using checklists and improving them and updating them.
  4. You’ll check that Vat codings are correct so that our clients are paying the right amount of Vat.
  5. You’ll become a Xero certified consultant, if you aren’t already. Don’t worry if you’re not Xero certified – we’ll help you get there.
  6. You’ll be responding to client queries and chasing answers to our queries.
  7. You’ll be delivering Xero training to clients and helping set Xero up for new clients.

You’ll be part of a small friendly team. It’s a busy office and we’ll expect you to manage and prioritise your own workload. We like happy people, not rain clouds! We know that you might not know some of the software and systems we use, but don’t worry we’ll give you training. We just need you to bring a willingness to learn and a desire to improve.

Experience doesn’t matter to the rate of pay, but how good you are does! We are expecting to pay £17,000 – £22,000 pro rata.

Customer services executive and office administrator

Due to some internal re-organisation we are now seeking a friendly, approachable and self-sufficient person to join our team. If you’re the right person for this part-time role at approximately 22.5 hours over 4/5 days, you’ll be described as…

Being great on the phone, persistent and organised.

  1. You’ll be responsible for giving new clients a great welcome to the firm and making sure that their client on-boarding is done efficiently and quickly.
  2. You’ll be responsible for preparing quotes for existing clients and new prospects based on information provided by our directors and client managers.
  3. You’ll be preparing monthly and weekly key performance indicator reports for the directors.
  4. You’ll ensure the accuracy of our practice management and CRM databases.
  5. You’ll look after our general office admin. This will include greeting visitors, being the person who answers the phone, opening, scanning and distributing incoming mail on a timely basis and managing office contracts such as cleaning and waste disposal.
  6. We’ll also ask you to arrange client meetings on behalf of the directors and assist with their diary management.

You’ll be part of a small friendly team. It’s a busy office and we’ll expect you to manage and prioritise your own workload. We like happy people, not rain clouds!
